The Bees will be at home for the final time this Sunday ahead of the Christmas break, as they host Queens Park Rangers in the FAWNL Division One South East.

London Bees:

The Bees suffered a 5-0 loss to Fulham away from home last Sunday in the FAWNL Division One South East.

Fulham applied pressure from the start, testing the Bees’ back line and taking the lead in the seventh minute with a close-range finish.

The hosts continued to push and, despite some solid defensive moments from the Bees, broke through again on 30 minutes.

Two further goals followed in quick succession, leaving the Bees 4–0 down at the break.

Durn, Budden and Larkin were introduced for the second half, and the Bees responded with a much stronger spell.

Fowle and Larkin both created promising chances, and Isherwood forced Fulham to defend well from a set piece before making way for Martins.

However, the Bees couldn’t capitalise on their improved play, and Fulham added a fifth after a cross was turned past Ginn.

Despite their second-half efforts, the Bees left empty-handed with no goals to show for their work.

In the dugout:

London Bees Assistant Head Coach Tim Abramyan’s spoke ahead of the match saying:

“The reaction this week has been very good, with real focus from the group.

We’re looking to get back on track and Sunday gives us a good opportunity to do that.

Our games against QPR are always entertaining, so it’s a great one for our fans to come and watch too.

Up the bees!”

Queens Park Rangers:

Queens Park Rangers Women’s team was re-established in 2019 and since then they have risen quickly through the pyramid to reach the FA Women’s National League Division One South East.

In 2021, QPR went on to win the Capital Senior Cup, securing one of the club’s first major honours since its re-establishment.

The R’s currently sit 4th in the league table, just one point behind the Bees and in their most recent fixture they went on to beat AFC Sudbury 3-2 away from home.

After conceding early, the R’s hit back through Fern Orchard and Juliet Adebowale-Arimoro to take the lead, only for Sudbury to level again from the penalty spot in a hectic first half display.

Ellie Searle then struck in stoppage time to send Rangers into the break ahead.

The second half brought more chances, with QPR pushing for a fourth and new signing goalkeeper Caitlin Crierie pulling off several important saves to protect the lead.

Despite late pressure from the hosts, Rangers stayed organised and determined, seeing out a deserved victory built on character, energy and a strong team effort.

Queens Park Rangers last five results:

AFC Sudbury 2-3 QPR

QPR 2-2 Luton Town

Actonians 0-0 QPR

QPR 1-1 Fulham

QPR 0-1 AFC Bournemouth (FAWNL Cup)

In the opposition dugout:

Queens Park Rangers manager Danny Harrigan will be in the away dugout for the R’s on Sunday.

Danny was appointed head coach back in the summer of 2024, and during this summer he’s taken up the role full-time for the 2025–26 season.

Under his leadership, the club has received increased investment and professional support, including access to the elite training centre and structured training-and-development programmes.

Ones to watch:

QPR forward Grace Stanley is the clubs current top goal scorer so far this season, having made nine appearances she has hit the back of the net seven times in all competitions.

Last time these two sides met:

The Bees cruised to a 3–1 victory over QPR at the Skyrex Community Stadium last time out as Dan McKimm’s side secured the three points back in February.

After a strong start in possession, the visitors fell behind in the 24th minute when Grace Stanley put QPR ahead, but Shamoy Campbell quickly levelled with a well struck effort from the wing, into the top corner.

The Bees pushed for a second before the break, and their pressure told early in the second half as Millie Isherwood fired home from the edge of the box to make it 2–1.

Determined to see out the result, the Bees kept control throughout the half and sealed the win late on when Sam Lanza capitalised on a goalkeeper error to tap in from close range.

It was a composed and hardworking performance that earned Dan McKimm’s side another valuable three points on the road.

Dan McKimm and his side will be aiming to respond positively this Sunday, eager to rebuild their momentum after last weekend’s setback and push themselves back up the league table.
