Summary:
Having finished 3rd behind league winners Manchester United and runners up Tottenham Hotspur last season, Charlton will be setting their sites for the top end of the table once again in the 2019/20 season. The Addicks showed some impressive performances last season including an 8-0 battering of Millwall Lionesses Boasting the third-best defensive record last season, Charlton will be looking to replicate there impressive form again this term, and new signings at the back such as Northern Ireland international Rachel Newborough and former Reading defender Jaime Gotch, as well as Welsh midfielder Alice Griffiths, will be looking to fill the holes left by the departures of Harley Bennett and Lily Agg.
We’ve Met Before:
The Bees faced The Addicks twice last season, narrowly losing on both occasions. A 2-0 loss in November at The Oakwood was followed by defeat at the end of March where Lauren Pickett’s late goal wasn’t enough as the Bees fell to a 2-1 defeat at The Hive. Despite the Addicks being one of those being heavily tipped for promotion, Lee Burch will be hoping for London derby delight when the two sides meet again this season.
