London Bees FC are delighted to announce that Lee Burch, formerly at Yeovil Town Ladies, will be taking over as Head Coach ahead of the 2019/20 FA Women’s Championship season.
Lee arrives at The Hive with a plethora of coaching experience, most notably with Hythe and Dibden First Team, AFC Totton, Millwall Lionesses and Yeovil Town Ladies.
During his time with Millwall, Burch guided the Lionesses to a top-three finish as well as picking up the Manager of the Year Award himself.
The former Yeovil man was also named the 2017/18 FA Women’s Super League Two manager of the year at the LMA Awards.
Speaking on his appointment, Burch said: “I’m really pleased and excited to be joining London Bees. The Club has impressed me and the facilities are second-to-none.
“It’s an excellent opportunity for me personally and I can’t wait to get started.
“The FA Women’s Championship is a great league and I’m looking forward to working with the staff and players.”
Ricky Bartlett, General Manager of London Bees, is confident that Burch’s appointment will have the Bees contesting for promotion next season.
He said: “We’re delighted to have Lee on board.
“His enthusiasm for the project was apparent and I’m sure he can bring success back to London Bees.”
Everyone at the Club would like to wish Lee the very best of luck in his new role as Head Coach.
