Sian, it was a rather more stressful end to the season and the game than you would have hoped for, but how pleased are you with the result to keep the Bees up?
“The most important thing was that we secured at least a point.
“We are disappointed that we did not come away with three points though because we dominated large portions of the game.
“We created lots of opportunities in the first-half but just did not take the chances.
“Our analyst mentioned to me that we made around 16 entries into the attacking third, including thirteen shots which we are pleased with.
“It is frustrating not to take the chances but the biggest thing for us is that we have secured our position in the league for next season.”
We dominated large parts of the first-half, but the second-half was a lot tighter. What do you think happened?
“I think they knew they had to go for it.
“Plymouth played their front three forward and high, which was a risk they could afford to take.
“It was difficult for us at times and we know that they are a good side with quality players.
“There were going to be times that they would cause us issues but I think we kept things tight at the back for large portions of the game.
“They did not really have many clear-cut opportunities but fair play to them as they took their chances.”
The team showed some real attacking intent through Jo Wilson, Hannah Coote and Courtnay Ward-Chambers this afternoon. How pleased were you with the attacking movements made?
“It was fantastic and we are really pleased to have created so many opportunities.
“I have mentioned it but we are disappointed that we could not convert a few more than we did.
“It does show that we are moving in the right direction and you can see that we have built something and are capable of playing some really attractive football.
“We will now enjoy the break but we are raring to go and build again for next season.
“I am so excited to keep working with this group and they have been fantastic as a collective and individually.
“We have been on a big journey together and I cannot wait to work with them again next year.”
What are your hopes and plans for next season, and where do you think you can take the team?
“I think I will have a rest first and think about that later!”
