The London Bees will be looking to bounce back this Sunday following Thursday night’s 2-1 defeat to Actonians, as they take the trip to face Luton Town in the FAWNL Division One South East.

 

London Bees:

 

London Bees suffered a narrow 2–1 loss to Actonians in the FA Women’s National League after a hard-fought contest.

 

The Bees dominated much of the first half but couldn’t find the target, while Actonians took the lead in the 38th minute to go into the break ahead.

 

Millie Isherwood came close early in the second half and eventually levelled the score in the 77th minute with a composed finish from the right side of the box.

 

However, Actonians quickly restored their advantage three minutes later.

 

Despite late pressure, including two efforts off the crossbar, the Bees couldn’t find an equaliser before the final whistle.

Formed in 1997, the team has steadily grown through the women’s football pyramid, building a strong reputation for player development and community involvement.

In their recent fixture the Hatters went on to beat Chesham United 4-1 in the FAWNL Division One South East.

 

Luton Town dominated from the start, with Jànaye Beaufort and Taylor O’Leary controlling midfield and creating early chances.

 

Tasha Fensome opened the scoring just before half-time, latching onto a Leyah Maddix flick to give the Hatters the lead.

 

Fensome doubled the advantage shortly after the break, finishing calmly from O’Leary’s clever assist.

 

Chesham pulled one back through Jya Ratteray-Smith, but Town finished strongly.

 

In stoppage time, Maddix made it 3–1 with a smart lob before Fensome completed her hat-trick in the final moments, sealing an emphatic win.
