London Bees are delighted to announce that striker Betty Larkin has signed for the Bees for the upcoming season!

The 16 year old forward becomes Dan McKimm’s first permanent signing ahead of the new season.

She joins the Bees from Haringey Borough, where she scored 6 goals in 9 starts for them this season.

Betty is also a student at Barking Abbey on their football programme, where she’s won the National Football Youth League U21 cup and league double with them this season.

They also won the AOC National Cup this season, beating Bolton Wanderers at Pride Park recently, a game in which Betty scored.

She’s scored 14 goals in 24 appearances for Barking Abbey this season.

Speaking on Betty’s arrival, London Bees head coach Dan McKimm said:

“Betty has bags of potential, so this is a really exciting signing for us.

Obviously, she’s super young still and has a lot to learn, so this first season with us will be all about growing and developing, and Betty isn’t someone we’re bringing in with the pressure or expectation of her needing to make an immediate impact.

That said, she’s a quality player already and we’ve shown over the last season just how effectively we can develop players here – just look at Cheye, Liv, Rebekah, Megs, Ish, Aria, Mira etc.

So anything is possible if she comes in with the right attitude and mindset which we know she will.”

Welcome to the Bees Betty!

The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
