London Bees took part in North Harrow Community Library’s ‘Summer Reading Journey’ launch event.

First-team players Aimee Durn, Aaliyah Charles and Olivia Bartlett took part in an arts and crafts activity at the library to launch their ‘summer reading journey’. The players joined the children in colouring and designing bags and footballs.

The Summer Reading Journey is for children up to the age of 11 with the aim to encourage children to read more books. Children can earn medals by reading books with an awards ceremony at the library on 21st September.

Community Manager Dan Barton emphasised the Foundation’s work beyond the pitch. “Football is a universal language that unites us all. It’s important for us to play our part and I’m really pleased that our new London Bees players are eager and have already got involved with activities in the community.”
