London Bees face Dulwich Hamlet this Sunday (2pm) at the Bees Stadium for the third time this season.
London Bees:
London Bees exited the Combined Counties Cup last Sunday after a 4-2 defeat to the Watford Development side.
The Bees made a strong start, testing the opposition with dangerous balls into the box and pressing high.
Watford responded with a long-range effort that flew past keeper Emma Roberts and into the back of the net.
Their lead was doubled just before 20 minutes into the game, sending a through ball into the goal.
The Bees fought back however, with several promising shots from set pieces by Isherwood, but the hosts denied these opportunities.
Before the half time whistle, the Bees’ efforts were rewarded after a cross by Ryah Vyse found Martins whose header hit the cross bar.
Fran Vigo reacted to the rebound ball, tapping it home to get the Bees onto the scoresheet.
Despite the Bees’ positive start to the second half, taking chances and testing the goalkeeper, Watford managed to score two in the space of five minutes, extending their lead to 4-1.
In the final minutes, Campbell made a powerful strike finding the back of the net and pulling one back for the Bees.
Despite the late effort, the score at the fulltime whistle was 4-2 to the visitors, sealing the Bees’ exit from the Cup.

In the dugout:
London Bees coach James McKimm spoke ahead of the fixture:
“Last week was a disappointing result for us as we were far from our best, but I know the group are very motivated to bounce back and deliver a quality performance just as we did against MK Dons a couple of weeks ago.
That said, Dulwich will be a stern test.
They’ve improved a lot in the last couple of months and put together some very decent results.
I’m sure they won’t make it easy for us on Sunday, so we’ll really have to earn it if we want to come away with the points.”

Last time the sides met:

A flying start by the Bees set the tone for the match with a goal in the opening two minutes after a header into the net by Flynn from an Isherwood corner.
A foul on Flynn resulted in a Bees penalty, taken by Whitelock who slotted the ball in from the spot.
A goal by Asia Harbour Brown denied Tia Ginn a clean sheet despite the strong defensive effort by the Bees.
A goal for Isherwood was ruled offside as well as a promising attack by Campbell.
A brilliant second goal for Lily Whitelock came in the closing stages as she shot from distance and sent the ball past the keeper.
The two sides also met at the start of this season in the FA WNL Cup where Dulwich Hamlet secured the victory with two goals to one.
Dan McKimm’s side will be looking to recover from last week’s loss and rebuild their momentum in the FA WNL.
