The London Bees are under the lights this evening as they travel to Coles Park to take on Haringey Borough in round two of the Combined Counties League Women’s Cup.

London Bees:

The London Bees booked their place in the next round of the FA Cup on Sunday with a hard fought 3–2 extra time victory away at Dartford in a match full of intensity and drama.

The Bees started at pace and were rewarded inside the opening minute when Sam Lanza reacted quickest in the box to give the visitors an early lead.

They continued to look the more dangerous side and doubled their advantage in the 24th minute after Millie Isherwood was fouled, confidently converting the resulting penalty.

However, the momentum shifted when Shamoy Campbell was shown a red card following an on-pitch altercation, forcing the Bees to see out the remainder of the first half with ten players.

Dartford increased the pressure after the break and struck twice from deliveries into the box to draw level just after the hour mark.

Tempers flared again as Dartford were reduced to ten players following a second yellow card, with their manager also dismissed.

With neither side able to find a winner in normal time, the match went to extra time where the Bees pressed high and were rewarded when Brionne Fowle powered home a header from a Hoare corner.

The Bees defended resolutely during a tense final period to hold on and secure a memorable victory.
