The Bees are back in cup action this Sunday (3pm) as they travel to Parkside in Aveley, to take on Hashtag United Women in the next group stage fixture of the FAWNL Cup.
London Bees:
London Bees delivered a dominant display to earn a 4–0 victory away at MK Dons, with four different players getting on the scoresheet.
After a lively opening from the hosts, the Bees settled quickly and began to control the game.
The breakthrough came midway through the first half when Shamoy Campbell drove down the right and fired a low cross into the box, where Brionne Fowle finished with an improvised backheel to make it 1–0.
Lily Whitelock nearly added a second before the break, striking the post with a curling effort from the left.
The Bees came out strong after the restart and doubled their lead when Whitelock unleashed a stunning long-range strike that flew over the keeper.
MK Dons had a brief chance after a spilled cross, but Rebekha Wozniak cleared off the line to preserve the clean sheet.
London Bees were awarded two penalties, both saved, but remained in full control.
Substitute Sandra Martins made it 3–0 with a composed finish after being played in by Whitelock.
And shortly after, Layla Kenly reacted quickest to a saved penalty, smashing in the rebound to seal a comfortable 4–0 win.

Hashtag United:
Hashtag United was founded in March 2016 by Spencer Owen, and in April 2020 through a merger with AFC Basildon, Hashtag United Women began competing in the FA Women’s National League Division 1 South East for the 2020–21 season.
They currently play in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division, the third tier of women’s football in England.
In their recent match, Hashtag United suffered a narrow 1–0 defeat away at Gwalia United despite a strong performance and several chances to equalise.
The Tags started well, with Emma Samways and Angela Nelson-Iye both testing the keeper early on.
However, Gwalia took the lead in the 35th minute through Asker, who finished after a pass from Georgia Walters.
After the break, Beth McGowan came close with a long-range effort that hit the crossbar.
Both teams pushed for goals, and Hashtag brought on fresh attackers to chase an equaliser.
Despite late pressure and a final chance for Nelson-Iye, Gwalia’s defence held firm, with a crucial last-ditch tackle denying Hashtag a late goal.
Hashtag United’s last five results:
Gwalia United 1-0 Hashtag United
Hashtag United 1-2 AFC Bournemouth
Hashtag United 6-1 Crystal Palace Academy (FAWNL Cup)
Plymouth Argyle 3-0 Hashtag United
Oxford United 2-0 Hashtag United
In the opposition dugout:
Newly appointed manager Dom Edwards will be in the dugouts for The Tags on Sunday alongside his assistant Alfie Crickmar.
Appointed on 29 April 2025 ahead of the 2025–26 season, Edwards took over the role from founding manager Jason Stephens, who had led the women’s team since 2020.
Ones to watch:
Attacking midfielder Macey Nicholls starred for The Tags in their opening group stage fixture of the League Cup, scoring a hattrick in Hashtag’s 6-1 win against Crystal Palace Academy.
Last time these two sides met:
The Bees fell to a 3-0 defeat last time out against Hashtag United at The Bees Stadium in January 2024.
Facing off in the Southern Premier Division, Macey Nicholls, Georgia Griffin, Malika Apindia Gille scored for The Tags, securing the three points for the visitors in what was a difficult season for the Bees.
Dan McKimm will be eager for his side to build on last weekend’s victory this Sunday, aiming to maintain their strong form and secure their first win in the FAWNL Cup.
