The Bees take on WSL side Liverpool at The Hive Stadium (1PM) in the fourth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup.

London Bees:

London Bees started their 2026 campaign with a well fought draw against AFC Sudbury followed by an impressive 7-1 win against Chesham United.

The Bees began dominantly against Chesham despite their early chances proving unsuccessful.

Captain Aimee Durn was the first to break the deadlock, sending the ball into the bottom right of the net.

It was a team effort for the next goal with Isherwood and Lanza coming together to tee up Martins with a header in the box.

Ginn made a great save from the spot after a penalty was awarded to Chesham, keeping them at bay before the half time whistle blew.

Whitelock took her chance next, finding space in the box and slotting the ball past the keeper.

The Bees struck three times in less than ten minutes after they found their feet in the second half with Lanza, Flynn, and Hoare all sending the ball into the back of the net.

Chesham managed to get one in the bag, curling the ball in from outside the box.

The opposition goal did not deter substitute Larkin who added a seventh to the tally after getting on the end of a corner effort.

With seven different players on the scoresheet, the Bees confirmed their landslide victory.

Now it’s time to enjoy playing in front of our fans, friends, and family on such an incredible occasion. See you on Sunday, Bees.”

Liverpool:

Liverpool women currently sit in 12th place in the Women’s Super League as they remain without a win in the WSL this season.

The club steadily rose through the women’s football pyramid and became a founding member of the FA Women’s Super League (WSL) when it launched in 2011.

A major milestone came in 2012 when Liverpool became the first English women’s club to move to full-time professional contracts, which laid the foundations for their most successful period under manager Matt Beard, winning back-to-back WSL titles in 2013 and 2014.

In the years that followed, the team experienced relegation and promotion between the WSL and the Women’s Championship.

The reds took one point in their last match after a goalless draw against London City Lionesses with no shots on target.

The lack of goals meant that Liverpool were able to record their first clean sheet of the season so far as two of their January signings, Alice Bergstrom and Jennifer Falk, made their debuts.

Liverpool last five results:

Liverpool 0 – 0 London City Lionesses

Chelsea 9 – 1 Liverpool (Women’s League Cup)

West Ham 2 – 2 Liverpool

Aston Villa 3 – 0 Liverpool

Arsenal 2 – 1 Liverpool

In the dugout:

Liverpool are led by head coach Gareth Taylor who was appointed in August 2025, alongside assistant manager Amber Whitely.

Ones to watch:

Liverpool’s top scorer is Olsson who has secured 5 goals in 9 appearances this season.

Last meeting:

The two sides last met in 2020 when both were in the Championship with Liverpool securing a 3 – 0 victory away from home.

Lawley opened the scoring from close range in the 50th minute with Babajide extending the lead only ten minutes later.

A stoppage time header by Furness gave the reds a comfortable win at The Hive.

Dan McKimm’s side will be looking to build on the momentum created last Sunday and extend their FA Cup run.
