The London Bees are back playing in The Bees Stadium this Sunday for the first time in nearly a month, as they take on MK Dons in the FAWNL Division One South East.

London Bees:

London Bees fell to a 6–1 defeat away to Chatham Town in their most recent game, after a challenging afternoon for the Bees.

The hosts started brightly and tested Tia Ginn early, with the Bees goalkeeper producing a series of strong saves to keep the score level.

Despite moments of pressure from the visitors and a disallowed goal for Millie Isherwood, Chatham took a 1–0 lead into half-time following a late free kick.

The Bees began the second half with intent, but Chatham doubled their advantage before Isherwood responded with a composed finish to reduce the deficit.

However, a decisive spell saw the hosts score three times in quick succession to put the game beyond reach, adding a sixth late on despite further changes and late chances from the Bees.

MK Dons:

Milton Keynes Dons Women were founded in 1975 and are one of the longest-running women’s football clubs in the region, later becoming formally affiliated with MK Dons.

Over the years, they have achieved notable success, including league title wins and promotion campaigns, as well as memorable cup runs at national level.

Milton Keynes Dons recently lost 1–0 to Actonians in the FAWNL Division One South East, despite producing a strong and competitive performance.

The Dons controlled large spells of the first half, creating several chances through Maddie Pollard’s dangerous wing play, but were unable to convert their opportunities.

After the break, Jamie-Lee Bamford made an excellent save to keep the scores level before Actonians capitalised on a scrappy moment in the box to score the only goal of the game.

MK Dons continued to push until the final whistle and made multiple substitutions to maintain intensity, but despite their dominance and work rate, they were ultimately left frustrated after failing to turn promising play into points.

MK Dons last five results:

MK Dons 0-1 Actonians

MK Dons 3-1 Chatham Town

QPR 2-2 MK Dons

AFC Sudbury 1-1 MK Dons

MK Dons 7-0 Chesham United

In the opposition dugout:

Recently appointed Dons manager Fadi Mazloum will be in the dugout for the away side on Sunday.

Fadi Mazloum was appointed in late January 2026, having taken over the role from Stephen Healy.

His coaching career in the women’s game began around 2018, working in roles such as assistant manager at St Albans Ladies and managerial positions at Bedford and Stevenage Women before taking charge at MK Dons Women.

Ones to watch:

MK Dons forward Madeleine Pollard is the clubs current top goal scorer in all competitions so far this season, scoring four goals in seven appearances.

Last time these two sides met:

London Bees took all three points last time out against MK Dons, after a  4–0 away victory at Stadium MK.

After withstanding an early MK Dons attack, the Bees grew into the match, controlling possession and creating chances through the wide areas.

Their breakthrough came when Brionne Fowle backheeled home Shamoy Campbell’s low cross to give the visitors a deserved lead, with Lily Whitelock later striking the post before half-time.

The Bees carried their momentum into the second half, doubling the advantage through a stunning long-range effort from Whitelock.

Despite MK Dons threatening briefly, London Bees remained dominant, with Sandra Martins calmly finishing for a third before Layla Kenly converted a rebound from a saved penalty to complete the rout and cap another impressive Bees performance.

Dan McKimm will be looking for his side to rediscover their form this weekend as they aim to rebuild momentum and reinforce their strong position in the Division One South East table.
