The London Bees will now host Norwich City at The Bees Stadium this Sunday (2pm) for matchday five of the FAWNL Division One South East, with Dan McKimm’s side looking to lengthen their unbeaten run in the league.
London Bees:
London Bees were forced to settle for a point in a competitive 0-0 draw against Chatham Town at The Bees Stadium.
The hosts came close to an early breakthrough when Lily Whitelock’s curling effort was spilled by the Chatham keeper, but Betty Larkin’s follow-up was smothered at close range.
Chatham responded with a threatening counter, only for Cheyenne Flynn to produce a crucial last-ditch tackle.
As the first half progressed, the Bees grew into the game and found openings in Chatham’s defence, with Shamoy Campbell nearly capitalising with a lobbed effort that was eventually cleared.
The second half saw the Bees increase the tempo, with Whitelock’s pinpoint free-kick just skimming wide off Brionne Fowle’s touch.
Flynn remained solid at the back, while substitutes Sandra Martins and returning captain Aimee Durn added energy going forward.
Campbell continued to impress on the wing, and Rebekah Wozniak was inches from connecting with a teasing cross.
In the dying moments, Lanza’s powerful strike forced a stunning save, and Durn’s rebound effort flew just over the bar.
Despite dominating large parts of the game and creating the better chances, the Bees couldn’t find the finishing touch and were held to a goalless draw.

Norwich City:
Norwich City Women bounced back in style with a dominant 4-0 victory over Luton Town Ladies in their first Carrow Road fixture of the season.
Manager Andy Cook made three changes, handing league starts to Hope Strauss, Ellie Smith, and Eloise Hall.
The Canaries started brightly and took the lead after 12 minutes when Rachel Kennard poked home from close range following a corner.
They doubled their advantage before the break, as a low free kick from Evie Williams deflected in off a Luton defender.
Despite a quieter second half, Norwich’s high pressing paid off again as Freya Symonds made it 3-0, before Ellie Smith sealed the win with a sliding block that looped over the keeper.

Last time these two sides met:
London Bees fell to a 2-1 defeat to Norwich City at The Nest, after a hard-fought battle in the Division One South East.
Both sides battled for control early on, with Bees keeper Tia Ginn making a crucial early save to keep the game level.
Hailey Hoare and Megan Burrows tested Norwich’s Sarah Quantrill with powerful efforts, but the keeper was equal to the challenge.
Just before half-time, Sam Lanza broke the deadlock with a well-taken finish to give the Bees the lead.
However, Norwich responded quickly after the restart with goals from Natasha Snelling and Ceri Flye, the latter heading home from a corner to complete the turnaround.
Despite late pressure and tactical changes from manager Dan McKimm, the Bees couldn’t find an equaliser and were narrowly beaten by a determined Norwich side.
