The Bees secured a 40 win against Cambridge United on the road moving them up to 5th place on the table.

The first half started with Isherwood securing the first sting to the opposition within the first minute when her shot fired past Webb in the Cambridge United net.

The early dominance from the Bees followed when some clever play from the Bees inside the Cambridge half allowed Lee to break through to score the second of the afternoon inside 10 minutes with the ball going in the bottom left corner from across the box.

McKimm’s side continued to play attacking football with attempts on target, however Cambridges
keeper Webb continued to save the efforts, denying the opportunities of a third goal.

With half an hour played the Bees went in search of the third goal, that came when a corner was swung into Wozniak who headed the ball into the back of the net to further increase the Bees iron grip on the game.

Despite a miserable first half for the hosts they went in searching of an opportunity back into the game, an attempted through ball was well hooked away by Hoteit, denying any chance for Cambridge.

There was much anticipation heading into the second half and that continued with Lee baring down on goal but her shot at goal was deflected wide of the post.

On the hour mark the Bees made it four when Hoare’s wonder strike from outside the box found the top right corner, leaving Webb with no chance.

Despite another late surge from the Bees to try and grab the fifth goal, Cambridge were able to thwart away any attempt to ensure we secured our third clean sheet in a row with an impressive 4-0 win.

The Bees are now five games unbeaten in the league moving us up to fifth place in the FA Women’s National League South East table.
