A loss on the road for the Bees as they fall to a heavy 5-0 defeat against Fulham.

 

It was clear from the off that that the Bees’ back line would be tested as Fulham concentrated their efforts in the final third.

 

The Bees were not deterred as they fought for a way through the opposition defence.

 

The tone was soon set however as the Whites got the first goal in the seventh minute, shooting from close range.

 

Fulham then received a free kick that they were unable to convert into a goal, giving the Bees’ a chance to show their defensive capabilities.

 

In the 30th minute the opposition broke through the back line again, striking just out of Ginn’s reach.

 

Two more goals came for the home side in the next eight minutes and the half time whistle was blown.

Three substitutions came during the break with Durn, Budden, and Larkin entering the pitch for Burrows, Wozniak, and Lanza.

 

The Bees came into the second half with new energy, denying Fulham the dominance that they had previously held.

 

Fowle and Larkin both had chances on goal that ended unsuccessfully, before a free kick taken by Isherwood that Fulham dealt with.

 

Another substitution followed with Martins coming on for Isherwood.

 

Fulham made their way up the pitch, sending the ball across the goal which was then collected and put pass Ginn.

 

At full time the Bees efforts were left unrewarded with no goals to show for the 90 minutes.
