London Bees vs Dulwich Hamlet – Capital Women’s Cup

The Bees lose their third consecutive game at home, against Dulwich Hamlet with the opposition winning 1-2.

The opening minutes of the game saw Dulwich with more possession as they chipped away at the defence to create opportunities.

This proved to be successful as the assist from Harbour-Brown to Goddard to tap the ball in let Hamlet take the lead in the 11th minute.

As the Bees looked to counter attack with Isherwood’s attempts falling short, a
corner by Hoare, in the 21st minute, led to Wozniak equalising the score with a rebound into the bottom left corner.

With battles happening in both halves of the pitch, both
teams continued to push on for their chance to take the lead.

However, at half-time we were level with neither team being able to lead ahead.

As the second half started, both teams created multiple chances for a breakthrough, but many were being flagged for off-side or both keepers caught the ball.

As Bartlett was given a yellow shortly after in the 58th minute Dulwich takes the lead with Corrigan securing the goal following Ginn’s error.

The Bees complete a triple substitution after the oppositions lead to regain strength and create chances, but Hamlet take control of the game with dominating possession challenging the Bees.

The 83rd minute saw an indirect free kick handed to the Bees, which sparked an opportunity to equalise yet again, however the oppositions defences blocked any possible chance.

With 10 minutes of extra time the Bees continued to create chances but weren’t able to maximise it resulting in a 1-2 win for the visitors.
