The Bees progress into the first round proper of the Adobe FA Cup after an emphatic victory over Colchester United.
The Bees showed promise right from the off, with most of the action happening in the opposition end.
Colchester did get their chance early on however, as they made a shot on goal which was dealt with easily by a header from Heil.
It looked as though the Bees would open up the scoresheet in the 6th minute with Lanza scoring, however the linesman raised their flag, and the goal was ruled as offside.
We didn’t have to wait long after that for Isherwood to take control, receiving a pass from Whitelock and tapping that ball past the keeper.
A header from Vyse was the catalyst for the next goal, with Heil getting on the end of it and shooting into the goal.
A minute later the visitors got their first goal into Roberts’ net who made her first start for the Bees.
This proved no issue for the Bees who only upped the momentum and secured their third goal with Heil making a pass to Isherwood who slotted the ball into the net.
A third goal by Isherwood followed soon after, scoring a hattrick within the first twenty minutes of the match.
The Bees did not settle despite the impressive score, continuing with their attack and testing the opposition keeper to their limits.
Roberts had her chance to show her skills when Colchester had a few chances on goal, all of which were denied.
A foul on Durn came next with the Bees being awarded a penalty, taken by goal scorer Isherwood.
Ish put the ball into the top left corner with ease and the Bees went into the break 4 goals ahead.
Half time: London Bees 5 – 1 Colchester United
One change was made during half time with Vigo entering the pitch for Vyse.
Two minutes into the second half, Whitelock got her chance to bag a goal – taking a shot from outside the box which went soaring into the back of the net.
Isherwood looked to continue her scoring frenzy with an attempt on goal that was blocked well by Colchester’s keeper.
She soon retired to the bench alongside Kenly, with Campbell and Larking coming on in their place.
It was Durn’s turn to grab herself a goal next, getting onto the end of a cross and smashing the ball into the bottom right of the goal.
Only 5 minutes later Durn got her second after a mistake by the opposition defence allowed her to put the ball past the keeper.
Another shot from outside the box was taken by Whitelock which flew past the defence and the keeper, straight into the net.
Fowle and Martins came on for Lanza and Burrows as the Bees maintained their relentless hunt for goals.
The tenth and final goal for the Bees came from substitute Larkin who got a hold of the ball in the box and knocked it past the keeper.
