The Bees secured their first win of the season last night with victory over Actonians to book our place in the next round of the cup.

The game started with a strong start for both teams, Bees keeper Ginn 4 minutes in
clearing early attempts at goal from the visitors to keep the scores level.

The Bees saw a close opportunity go away when Constantine hit the crossbar with an effort from a free-kick after 15 minutes.

With many one-on-one battles in the first half, it proved to be a very physical game for the Bees. Rounding of
the first half with a goalless draw.

Half Time 0-0

The second half started with a strong beginning for the Bees with Constantine attempting another effort at goal but the shot was well saved by the Actonians keeper.

The visitors came close shortly after when some clever play from outside the box ended with the ball rattling Ginn’s crossbar.

The momentum picked up from the Beehive with Charles securing the first sting 67 minutes in after a corner reached the forward who poked the ball into the back of the net to give the Bees the lead.

Actonians dealt a late blow to the Bees after scoring a late equaliser with five minutes to spare but this didn’t phase Dan McKimm’s side who strook back almost immediately through Hoare who bagged the winner.
