Season opener ends in entertaining draw against QPR at the Hive.
It was a strong start from both sides with various opportunities being created on both sides of the pitch.
18 minutes in, the first goal was scored by the opposition through Laura Hennesey when she tapped in from a cross.
Two minutes later and the visitors had their second of the afternoon when Grace Stanley pounced on a loose ball.
With the energy high, the beehive planned an attack, and Lee successfully stung in the 23rd minute to pull one back with her effort from outside the box looping over the goalkeeper.
The visitors tried to sneak a surprise attack with a cross, but it was quickly swatted away by Ginn in the Bees goal.
Lanza looked to create the equaliser, but her effort was saved directly by the keeper in the dying seconds of the first half.
Half Time: 1-2
The second half started strong for the Bees, creating opportunities early on with Charles teasing an effort by hitting the crossbar in the 52nd minute.
With our honeycomb defence and goalkeeper Ginn clearing away chances from the opposition, the beehive was preparing for another sting.
In the 75th minute the Bees came close with what looked like a potential goal but rolled just wide of the post.
All was redeemed two minutes later when Hoare pounced to level the scores up at The Hive.
The final stages of the game saw the Bees pressing for a third, but the QPR defence was on hand to deny any last gasp moments with both teams settling for a point on the opening day.
