The Bees secured their first three points of the season with a thrilling 4-3 win against Dulwich Hamlet at The Hive.
Following last week’s defeat, the Beehive returned home to play against Dulwich Hamlet. The first half started with a new sense of energy and purpose for the Beehive to present their strength.
Five minutes into the game and Isherwood served the first sting to the opposition following a counterattack to put the Bees ahead.
Dulwich Hamlet wanted an instant response and came close to levelling the scores up when a shot from range whistled just over the bar.
With quarter of an hour played it was the Bees who struck again to double the lead. A corner swung in was met by Lanza to place the ball home.
The visitors were not going to go down without a fight and this became apparent when a penalty was awarded when Dunbar-Bonnie was fouled in the box. Price stepped up to bring the deficit back down to one.
Despite some great chances for McKimm’s side to regain the two-goal cushion, the visitors held on to go into the break just a goal down.
Half Time 2-1
The visitors strook instantly in the second half to level the game up when Goddard’s header found its way past Ginn.
The Bees were desperate to get back on top and nearly grabbed the third goal when Hoare’s shot from the corner of the box was well saved.
With an hour played it was Wozniak who grabbed the Bees third goal of the afternoon after her header found the net to regain the lead for a second time in this contest.
In a high scoring encounter, it came as no surprise when Dulwich Hamlet levelled the game up with 13 minutes to go when Searle was able to plant her header home from a free kick.
As a fire lit up underneath the Bees wings, Isherwood was able to score once again to lift the score to 4-3 in the 80th minute.
The Bees were able to see this score out to hold onto an impressive three point at The Hive.
