The Bees move up to fourth in the South East Division One table after a
dominant 6-1 win over Chesham United at home.

The game kicked off with a balance from both teams having equal
possession early on, as Chesham was the first from the two teams to take
a look for score to take the lead but Ginn was quick on her feet to clear
the chance. 12’ into the first half, the visitors continued to press for the
lead with taking three consecutive chances on target but all being
cleared by Ginn and the defence, with one nearly securing the lead as it
bounces off the side post.

With an early game of opportunities both teams looked equally eager to
secure the lead with Chesham trying to translate their dominance of
possession into goals, but Bees continue to chip away at the visitor’s
defence line. As Bees look lost on the ball, Hoare attempts to turn it
around with a close goal from the corner of the box but went straight into
the keeper’s hands. With further attempts by Durn and Lanza, Hoare
gives the Bees the lead in the 40th minute with a finish from the edge of
the box. As the Bees found their wings Lanza added herself to the score
sheet just 2 minutes after, and Hoare doubled her goals leading to a 3-0
lead going into half time.

As the second half began, substation of Lanza with Affri, let us welcome
Affri officially into the team with her debut. 10 minutes into the second
half the visiting team scored as Ginn was outside her goal and the ball
went just by her into the bottom left corner. Following the slip of the
oppositions goal, Burrows quickly turned the atmosphere around by
increasing the score to 4-1 in the 63rd minute as an assist from Durn
secured her finish into the back of the next. A double substitution sees
Whitelock and Tambula join the squad replacing Campbell and Burrows,
breathes new life into the team with Whitelock presenting her impact
adding a 5th goal to the score sheet with another one 5 minutes later in
the 84th minute to extend the lead and secure the final score of 6-1.
