London Bees continued their impressive form with a dominant 4-0 away win over MK Dons, securing their third consecutive league victory and maintaining their position at the top of the table.
The hosts started brightly, whipping in an early cross from the left, but goalkeeper Tia Ginn claimed it calmly to ease any early pressure.
The Bees responded immediately as Shamoy Campbell surged down the right flank, cut inside, and fired a shot on goal, only to be denied by a strong save from the Dons’ keeper.
London Bees gradually grew into the game, pushing forward and exploiting the wide areas as they looked to feed both Lily Whitelock and Campbell.
A long ball from Ginn aimed at Campbell forced the Dons keeper off her line to intervene, and a similar attempt moments later ran just too far, rolling out for a goal kick.
As the half progressed, the Bees began to assert control, stringing together accurate passes and delivering threatening crosses into the box.
The breakthrough nearly came when Campbell delivered a pinpoint ball from the right to Sam Lanza, whose header skimmed just wide of the post.
Whitelock lifted a clever ball over the top to Campbell, who drilled it low into the box for Brionne Fowle. With composure and flair, Fowle backheeled the ball into the bottom corner, giving the Bees a stylish 1–0 lead.
From there, the visitors took charge, limiting MK Dons’ chances and continuing to search for a second goal.
Whitelock came inches away from doubling the lead, curling a beautiful effort from the left that rattled the far post just before the break.
Half-Time: MK Dons 0–1 London Bees
The second half started with intent from the Bees as Mira Hoteit’s corner was initially cleared, but only as far as Betty Larkin, whose follow-up effort flew just over the bar.
Moments later, Whitelock produced a moment of brilliance.
Picking up the ball at the edge of the area, she unleashed a stunning strike from range that soared over the keeper and into the back of the net, giving the Bees a deserved 2–0 lead.
MK Dons looked to respond and came close after Ginn spilled a cross under pressure.
The ball came close to reaching the net, but Rebekha Wozniak got back to clear it off the line and preserve the two-goal cushion.
London Bees then had a chance to extend their lead from the spot following a foul in the box after a corner.
Lanza stepped up, but her effort was saved.
However, the referee ordered a retake due to encroachment by the Dons defenders.
Lanza had another chance, but her second attempt struck the crossbar and was cleared.
Substitutions followed, with Millie Isherwood and Sandra Martins entering the field.
Just seconds later, the hosts nearly pulled one back with a long-range chip that beat Ginn but bounced off the bar and out of play.
Martins made an immediate impact at the other end.
Whitelock slipped her through in the box, and the forward coolly slotted past the keeper to make it 3–0, scoring her first league goal for the club.
Manager Dan McKimm made his final changes, introducing Layla Kenly, Fran Vigo, and Olivia Clements.
Soon after, Fowle was brought down in the area, earning the Bees a second penalty of the afternoon.
Isherwood stepped up looking to get on the scoresheet, but once again the Dons keeper guessed correctly, producing another fine save.
Yet the danger wasn’t over as Kenly pounced on the rebound and smashed it into the net to make it 4–0, registering her first league goal for the Bees.
Not long after, the referee brought the match to a close, sealing another impressive win for London Bees.
