The Bees move forwards into the First Round Proper of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup after a 6-0 win away against Steyning Town.

Steyning were the team with the first chance of the match with their number 20, Stones,
attempting the poke the ball into the bottom corner of the goal. Ginn swiftly denied her
attempt, sweeping the ball up and play continued. Soon after, Flynn seized the Bees first goal opportunity, gaining control of the ball close to the opposition goal, sending it just high of the crossbar.

Possession was equally distributed with the Bees managing to keep the ball in the
opposition half for the majority of the first half, the back wall defending well when
Steyning looked to threaten. The Bees were given the opportunity to score in the form of
multiple corners yet they did not manage to convert them into goals. The Bees fought
hard in the first half with both teams showing equal determination to open the
scoresheet however both were unsuccessful.

The second half was underway with Isherwood, Durn and Lee coming onto the pitch in
the place of Charles, Parsons and McDermott. These subs immediately made a
difference to the game with the Bees appearing even more determined to win than they
had before.

The first goal of the match came early in the second half from Isherwood who took a
great penalty, the ball going straight into the net. Isherwood’s goal brought a sense of
confidence for the team, proven by Campbell’s goal less than a minute later with a wonder striker. Isherwood scored again ten minutes later, making the score 3-0 to the Bees within fifteen minutes of the second half. Constantine came on for Lanza as the team fought to further the score even more. This proved successful as Campbell then joined Isherwood in scoring two for the Bees.

Soon after, the Bees were given a corner, taken by Constantine. Flynn found the ball and
headed it into the back of the net, making her our third goal scorer of the match. After
her successful goal contribution, Constantine also scored in the final minute of extra
time.

A great performance from the Bees resulted in six goals, four goal scorers and Ginn’s
fourth clean sheet in a row.
