London Bees are delighted to announce signing of Renai Bennett!

Head Coach Dan Mckimm has strengthened his side again with the addition of attacking midfielder Renai Bennett, who joins The Bees after spending nearly 3 seasons with Peterborough United.

The 20-year-old started her career with league opponents MK Dons, climbing up through the academy before making her first team debut.

Shortly after making the first team for The Dons, she made the switch to FAWNL Division One Midlands side Peterborough United at the start of the 2023/24 season.

Renai made 30 appearances in all competitions for The Posh last season, scoring 11 goals in that time including in the County Cup final against Northampton Town.

She made 11 appearances this season, scoring 2 goals in that time before making the switch to The London Bees.

“Everyone has been really welcoming, and that’s a big thing for me — the environment,” she said, speaking on her arrival. “The girls, the coaches, everyone — they’ve been as amazing as I imagined them to be.”

“It’s been really easy settling in and I’m looking forward to just kick starting my season here”.

Speaking on Renai’s arrival, London Bees Head Coach Dan McKimm said:

“Renai is another one who I’ve tracked for a while now so when the chance came up to bring her in it was too good an opportunity to pass up.

She had a productive time with Peterborough, having been their top scoring midfielder last season, but for whatever reason it’s not quite clicked for her there this season.

Hopefully a different environment will give her some fresh energy, and I think she gives us a new dynamic of creativity in midfield”.

Welcome to the Bees Renai!

The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
