Sian, on Sunday we travel to Southampton FC. How are you feeling ahead of what is expected to be a really tough test?

“I am always excited to play games, especially against fantastic opposition like Southampton.

“We know what a fantastic set up they have, and I think it’s going to be a real exciting test.”

They have got the best goal difference in the league. How can we prevent them from further extending this on Sunday?

“After last weekend’s performance we know the defensive shape was what we needed to cover this week, and the girls have worked particularly hard in training.

“We know we need to be solid for as long as possible, and we have always got the quality going forwards to cause problems of our own.”

It was a disappointing result last Sunday against Crawley Wasps. How are you planning to use that result as a positive going into this weekend’s fixture?

“The girls were massively disappointed after the Crawley match. We were not at our best for large parts of the game and did not show the best qualities throughout the 90 minutes.

“This week has been positive in training and we have been working on the areas we needed to improve on and hopefully we will be in a much better place for the game on Sunday.”

Southampton are towards the top of the table and are looking really good so far this season. Has this affected the way we are preparing for the game?

“I do not think so. We look at the way they set up and play; however we mainly focus on ourselves.

“We need to make sure what we try and do is to our playing style and philosophy.

“They are a fantastic team, but that is what this league is about. You want to be playing the best teams and Southampton are one of those.

“The girls and the staff are all excited for this game and are really looking forward to it.”

We have suffered with injuries over the past few weeks. How are things looking now ahead of this Sunday?

We are in a better place but we have still got a few players that are carrying some knocks.

“We are hoping to have some fitness tests to determine who is ready to return which should give us a good understanding of where some of the girls are at.”

The fans are always a big part, and there should be a big crowd down in Southampton for this one. How much are you looking forward to that?

“There was a big crowd for the Ipswich game a couple of weeks ago and we are hoping to have lots of supporters at the match again.

“Hopefully we will see a few familiar faces that come down to support us.

“The girls absolutely love it when we have the fans there to cheer us on.”
