London Bees are delighted to announce that forward Sam Lanza has signed a new contract with the Bees for the 2026/27 season!

London Bees captain Sam Lanza is set to enter her third season with the club after signing a new contract ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Sam joined the Bees in the summer of 2024, becoming one of head coach Dan McKimm’s first signings following her move from London Seaward (known now as Athletico London).

In her debut season, she made 26 appearances across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing five assists in an impressive first campaign.

She has continued that form this season, making 29 appearances, scoring 10 goals, and registering nine assists in all competitions.

During the campaign, Sam was also appointed club captain and led the Bees out in their Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie against WSL side Liverpool.

Speaking on Sam’s new contract, London Bees Head Coach Dan McKimm said:

“Sami’s just such a reliable player and she’s captained the team brilliantly over the second half of the season since taking the band.

I love working with her as you know exactly what you’re going to get – every training session, every game.

She’s so honest and hard-working, and she’ll do anything for the team.

Success is built upon people like her.

It’s been a good return for her this season with 10 goals and 9 assists, the assists being something I really like from her this year, but there’s definitely chances we’ve left on the table.

So next season we’ve got to be helping her to hit the numbers she deserves in the goals tally for the work that she puts in”.

Congratulations Sam!

The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
