London Bees are delighted to announce that forward Sandra Martins has signed a new contract with the Bees for the 2026/27 season!
Forward Sandra Martins will enter her second season with the club after signing a new contract ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Sandra, who was originally born in Portugal before moving to the UK, has developed through youth squads in England, including Tottenham’s Development team, Crystal Palace, and Sheffield United.
She was part of the AFC Wimbledon team who won the FA Women’s National League Division One South East a couple of seasons ago, scoring 10 goals that season.
In her first season for the Bees, she made 21 appearances in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and assisted 3.
She was part of the starting line-up that faced WSL side Liverpool in the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup, and earlier in the season earned an international call-up for Cape Verde.
She played a key role in helping the nation secure qualification for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Speaking on Sandra’s new contract, London Bees Head Coach Dan McKimm said:
“Sandy’s had a good second half of the season and has really come to life.
It’s been great to see what she’s done with her Cape Verde national team too.
I like her versatility, and she’s caused threat for us from both out wide and through the middle this season.
I felt like her and Sami linked up really nicely at times this season.
If she can start next season in the same form that she’s finished this one, then I think she could be a really key player and difference maker for us next campaign”.
Congratulations Sandra!
The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
