Last week, the Barnet Women’s Walking Football team had the opportunity to watch and take part in a training session led by head coach Dan McKimm and the London Bees coaching staff.

The session began with the team observing Dan McKimm’s detailed debrief of Sunday’s home match against Cambridge, offering valuable insight into the preparation and analysis that goes into each game.

Afterwards, everyone got involved in a lively mini-tournament played under walking-football rules. It proved to be a fun, competitive and thoroughly enjoyable experience, even if the London Bees didn’t always stick to the “walking” part!

Foundation Manager Aleksander Czerniec stated about the event, “It’s such a great event to have, it’s created a memory for the Walking Football team, and the community engagement the Bees have had in the last few weeks has been remarkable.”

The Walking Football Team were also invited to come watch the London Bees in action in their recent FAWNL Division One South East fixture against Cambridge United, where they helped cheer the Bees on to a 3-1 victory.
