London Bees is delighted to announce that Alice Hughes has agreed to join the Club.

The defender will join The Bees having played last season at National League Division One South East side London Seaward.

The Tottenham Hotspur youth academy graduate signed for Barking Abbey School in 2021 and competed in the National Football Youth League in the 2021/22 and 2022/23 season.

Alice also played for Milton Keynes Dons and London City Lionesses before agreeing to join The Bees this summer.

Alice was selected for the England Colleges national squad and made 6 appearances, captaining the side twice and scored. She was also selected for the National Football Youth League south representative squad.

On signing for London Bees Alice said “Grateful for the opportunity to be a part of a new and exciting chapter for this club. I’m looking forward to getting started.”

Head Coach Dan McKimm added “From the moment I first met Alice I knew she was exactly the type of person I wanted to have around my teams, she embodies the type of attitude and outlook I expect from my players.

“The energy, enthusiasm and positivity she brings into the camp is infectious. I’ve never worked with a player who has been so eager to learn and be the best version of herself, and so receptive to feedback. Despite her age, she’s already a huge role model and people can learn an awful lot from the way she conducts herself and her approach to things.”

Welcome to London Bees, Alice!

The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances.
