The London Bees were beaten 5-0 by Norwich City in their latest pre-season outing.

The visitors started brightly, putting the Bees under early pressure with a series of attacking runs that tested the home defence.

Norwich opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Holly Kennard found space inside the area and slotted the ball past Maddison Millington-Stanbury.

The Bees grew into the game as the first half progressed, enjoying more possession and putting together some promising attacking moves.

However, Norwich remained dangerous on the counterattack and continued to cause problems for the Bees’ back line.

The Canaries doubled their lead after 20 minutes through Issy Moore, who produced an excellent finish into the top corner beyond the reach of Millington-Stanbury.

Just before the interval, Norwich added a third goal when Faith Harrison was played through on goal and finished confidently.

Norwich extended their advantage shortly after the restart, capitalising on an intercepted Bees back pass to score their fourth of the afternoon.

The visitors added a fifth goal just a few minutes later to complete the scoring.

Despite the scoreline, the Bees continued to look for opportunities going forward.

Trialist B came closest in the second half, seeing her effort sail just over the crossbar.

The Bees also made a number of substitutions throughout the second half, giving several players valuable minutes as preparations for the new season continued.

The score remained unchanged for the remainder of the match as Norwich ran out 5-0 winners.
