Dan McKimm will be wanting the same from his side this Sunday as the Bees had to Rectory Park to face Actonians in the Division One South East league.

The Bees continued their strong form with a 3-1 victory over Queens Park Rangers at the Skyrex Community Stadium in the Division One South East League.

From the start, the Bees controlled possession, but QPR’s defence held firm, making it difficult for the visitors to break through.

QPR had an early chance, but the Bees’ defenders, Rebekha Wozniak and Aria Heil, thwarted the attack.

The Bees’ first opportunity came when Aimee Durn sent a cross to Millie Isherwood, but her shot went wide.

QPR opened the scoring in the 24th minute, with Grace Stanley finding space in the box and slotting a shot into the top left corner.

However, the Bees responded quickly, with Shamoy Campbell scoring from the edge of the box, sending the ball into the top right corner to equalize.

Just before halftime, the Bees nearly took the lead when Shamoy Campbell crossed to Millie Isherwood, but her shot was saved by QPR’s goalkeeper, Nicole Melling, and the teams went into the break tied at 1-1.

In the second half, the Bees came out strong. Just two minutes in, Lily Whitelock sprinted down the left and found Millie Isherwood, who fired past the keeper to give the Bees a 2-1 lead.

The Bees maintained control throughout the half, pressing for another goal and defending their lead.

With less than 10 minutes remaining, Sam Lanza capitalized on a mistake by the QPR keeper, who mishandled the ball, leaving Lanza to tap it in from a tight angle, sealing the 3-1 win for the Bees.

Actonians:

Chesham United secured a narrow but hard-fought 1-0 victory over Actonians on Sunday, February 16th, 2025, in the Division One South East league.

The match, played at Chesham’s home ground, proved to be an intense contest, with both teams fighting for crucial points in the league.

The only goal of the match came in the 50th minute of the game, when Chesham United’s Madelene Wright struck the ball into the back of the net, giving Chesham the lead.

Despite Actonians’s best efforts, they struggled to break down a resolute Chesham defence, resulting in the final score being 1-0 to the hosts.

In the opposite dugout:

Actonians manager Oliver Yazdi will be taking the seat in the dugout for the hosts this Sunday, with his assistant Andrew Carrano alongside him.

Ones to watch:

Hana Lalani is the clubs current top goal scorer so far this season, with 10 goals in 20 appearances for the Actonians.

Last time these two sides met:

The Bees played to a 2-2 draw last time out against Actonians at the Bees Stadium, after two comebacks from the visitors denied the Bees a win.

The match started with a fast pace, and the Bees took the lead in the 7th minute through Hayler Hoare, whose shot squeezed past the Actonians goalkeeper.

However, Actonians quickly responded with a header from a free kick to equalize in the 14th minute.

The Bees controlled much of the first half, with Hoare having another effort saved and a goal ruled offside. The score remained 1-1 at halftime.

In the second half, the Bees regained the lead when Lanza capitalized on a loose ball to score.

But Actonians responded again, levelling the game with a well-taken goal from Amina.

Despite creating a few more chances, including a near-miss from a free kick, the Bees couldn’t find a third goal, and the game ended 2-2, with the Bees and Actonians sharing the points.

Dan McKimm and the Bees will be wanting to end their run of away games on a high, making it three wins in a row and pushing higher up the league table.
