The Bees travel to the Champion Hill stadium this Sunday (2pm) as they take on Dulwich Hamlet in the Division One South East league.
Last weekend Dan McKimm’s side grabbed their first three points of 2025 as they beat Cambridge United 3-0 at the Bees stadium.
The Bees kicked off the game with a quick start, creating chances in the opening minutes, giving the Cambridge defence a real challenge on their hands.
In the 17th minute the first chance came for the Bees, as Shamoy Campbell crossed the ball low into the box, finding the foot of Millie Isherwood, who unfortunately couldn’t get the right connection to the ball, leaving it for the Cambridge goalkeeper to claim.
The Bees continued to put pressure on the opponents, then in the 32nd minute Mira Hoteit struck the ball with power and accuracy from the right of the box into the bottom left corner, giving the hosts the lead at the break.
The chances didn’t end there as just two minutes into the second half, Sam Lanza added a second to the game, jumping to connect with the ball and heading it into the back of the net.
The visitors attempted to get themselves back into the game, fighting for majority of the possession and creating chances towards the Bees net.
However, they struggled to find an opening through the Bees defence, as they were determined to keep a strong lead on the game.
Aimee Durn played a brilliant ball through to Millie Isherwood who became one on one with the goalkeeper, and with quick thinking curved the ball around the keeper into the right corner of the net, making it 3-0 to the Bees in the 70th minute.
The Bees took all three points from the match and secured their first league win of the year.

Dulwich Hamlet:
Dulwich Hamlet travelled to the Rectory Park last Sunday as they faced Actonians in the Division One South East league, suffering a 1-0 defeat to hosts.
Both teams put up strong performances in each half, fighting to find that opening goal that would either side the advantage in the game.
However, it was the host who took the three points from the fixture, when Actonians Hana Lalani put her side up by one in the 75th minute, ensuring that the game would be theirs to win.
Prior to this fixture the Hamlets travelled to The Nest where they faced Norwich City in the Division One South East league, unable to take home the three points as Dulwich lost 4-0 to The Canaries.

From the opposite dugout:
Dulwich manager Ryan Dempsey takes the seat in the away dugout this Sunday with Jamie Broughton alongside him as his assistant.
Dempsey has been manager of the London side for the past five years, shortly after the club was formed in 2019 when merged with club AFC Phoenix at the time.
Over the past five years, Dempsey has had successful seasons at the club in the London & Southeast regional league.
And at the end of the 2023/24 season, won promotion to the Division One South East League after finishing 1st and winning the title.
Ones to watch:
Hamlet midfielder Martha Goddard is the one to watch for the hosts this Sunday.
The midfielder has been one of the main stand outs for Dulwich this season, controlling the ball well in the centre of the pitch as well as providing most of the goals and assists for Dulwich in all competitions this season.
Last time these two sides met:
The two last met earlier in the Capital Women’s Cup back in January, as the Bees were knocked out by the Hamlets with a 2-1 loss at home.
From the off Dulwich took control of the game, capturing most of the possession from the Bees, looking to find an early opening goal.
This soon proved effective as the visitors took the lead in the 11th minute, when Martha Goodard to tap the ball pass the keeper making it 1-0 early on.
The hosts were able to pull one back just ten minutes later, as a corner kick was struck into the net by Rebekha Wozniak, bringing the scores back level before half-time.
The second half showed a much more even display by both teams, as the ball was finding its way traveling down both ends of the pitch.
But it was Dulwich who took the lead again in the 58th minute following an unfortunate mistake by Tia Gunn in goal, which allowed Erin Corrigan to tap the ball in regaining the lead.
The Bees were given a chance to equalise in the 83rd minute, following a delay to the restart by the Hamlet goalkeeper, the referee gifted the hosts an indirect free kick in the box.
Millie Isherwood took a strong strike towards goal from the free kick, but sadly the ball was blocked and cleared away by the opposition, leaving the final score 2-1 to the visitors and the hosts falling out the Capital Women’s Cup.
Dan McKimm will be looking to take one back against Dulwich this Sunday, with his side now back to winning ways, and with the aim of climbing higher up the league table.
