London Bees are delighted to announce that forward Sandra Martins has signed for the Bees for the upcoming season!
Sandra, who was originally born in Portugal before moving to the UK, has developed through youth squads in England, including Tottenham’s Development team, Crystal Palace, and Sheffield United, before earning a move to Leeds.
She was part of the AFC Wimbledon team who won this league a couple of seasons ago, scoring 10 goals that season.
Sandra has been playing in the States in the USL W-League over the summer for Charlottesville Blues while also being a Cape Verde international.
Speaking on Sandra’s arrival, London Bees head coach Dan McKimm said:
“Sandra is a super dangerous player, so adds real threat to our forward line.
She was highly in-demand this summer, naturally after a prolific season last year, so I’m very pleased we’ve managed to get the deal done and that she’s chosen to come here.
Again, another player with league-winning experience at this level, and I think our style will really suit her and given how many chances we create.
I’m expecting her to be a regular on the score sheet this season”.
Welcome to the Bees Sandra!
The deal is subject to the usual FA and League clearances
