Following our 3–2 defeat to Fulham in the final game of the season, forward Millie Isherwood was stretchered off after sustaining an injury shortly after finding the net.
Millie was taken to hospital, where she was thankfully cleared of any breaks or fractures, however further tests are still ongoing.
Her goal, which put the Bees ahead around the hour mark, was a testament to her determination and work rate.
Chasing down the ball while under pressure from two Fulham defenders, she regained possession, launched the ball past the goalkeeper, and finished clinically whilst colliding with both the keeper and a defender in the process.
Millie later left the field to a standing ovation from both sets of supporters, recognition of her outstanding effort and commitment.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to head physio Steve Spencer for his swift response in assisting Millie on the pitch, as well as to former Bees’ head physio Ali Jaweed, who, while in attendance, immediately came down from the stands to support in her treatment.
Everyone at London Bees wishes Millie Isherwood a full and speedy recovery 🧡
