On June 2nd, 2025, BBC Sports Broadcaster Gabby Logan hosted a special panel event commemorating two decades since BBC Sport first broadcast the UEFA Women’s EURO in 2005.

The event served as both a retrospective on the past 20 years of women’s football and a forward-looking conversation ahead of the upcoming 2025 tournament.

Among the panellists was London Bees Head Coach Dan McKimm, who joined Gabby Logan and a lineup of influential voices in the women’s game, including Lucy Staniforth, Anita Asante, and Jennifer Fong.

Together, they reflected on the sport’s journey, from overcoming historical prejudice to achieving national recognition and explored the evolving roles of media coverage, fan engagement, and brand partnerships in shaping the future of the women’s game.

Speaking on his time at the event, London Bees Head Coach Dan McKimm said:

“It was a great discussion to be a part of and a privilege to be on a panel with such high-profile people.

It’s also great for the club to be put in these kind of spotlights as we look to re-establish ourselves as a pillar of the women’s game here in England over the next couple of years”.
